Connie has increased her skills and knowledge of communication concepts, issues, applications and techniques throughout her career by studying and employing these methods: BFA Acting/Theatre (Carnegie Mellon University); Negotiation and Mediation (William F. Lincoln), Antioch University; Facilitation and Collaborative Planning (Institute for Cultural Affairs); Speaking Circles®(Lee Glickstein); Leadership (Women's Integral Leadership Circle), Antioch University; Physical Theatre & Solo Performance(Freehold Theatre).

Her current pro bono activities include developing training for CASA volunteers, a speakers' bureau for the King County Bar Association's Drug Policy Project, and the Washington Cash.

She is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants; the Northwest Designer Craftsmen; and a Certified Facilitator of Speaking Circles®.
